Classification: Exempt/Full-time/Salaried
Reports to: Chief Executive Officer
Summary/objective:
Responsible for all financial aspects of the organization including: monthly financial reporting; payroll; check writing; cash management; and other ad hoc reporting as needed. Maintains all personnel files. Has an active role in staff management and adherence to employee guidelines. Member of the Executive Team.
Essential functions:
- Monthly financial statement preparation/presentation for Executive Committee and the Board of Trustees
- Monthly bank reconciliations and general ledger reviews/reconciliations
- Biweekly (every other week) payroll preparation
- Handle/process all on-boarding paperwork i.e. I-9, tax forms, insurance forms – handle eligibility and deadlines
- Prepare deposits for all non-campaign items; prepare and make bank deposits for these items
- Prepare vendor checks as needed, usually weekly – provide support to reviewers/check signers; send signed checks to vendors
- Work with auditors/tax preparers on annual audit reports & tax returns-Form 990
- Be staff liaison for Investment, Finance, and Audit Committees; prepare reports and information for each committee; Investment meets as needed, Finance meets quarterly and Audit meets as needed
- Provide quarterly reports and answer questions to all staff/management as requested in regards to financial reporting and documentation
- Work with insurance representatives to ensure that proper and sufficient coverage is maintained in all areas (along with COO)

Supervisory responsibilities: Part-time Bookkeeper
Work environment: This role’s environment is primarily an indoor office area, but the role does require attendance at various Federation events
Physical demands: Indoor office job; there is also some bending and filing along with some lifting, but usually no more than 30 lbs
Position type and expected hours of work: This position is full time with office hours from 9am-5pm Monday-Thursday, and 9am-4pm on Friday; there are occasional weekend and evening events to attend
Travel: This role has limited local travel around the city to events and vendors
Required education and experience: A college degree is required for this position along with relevant financial experience, as well as a CPA license
Preferred education and experience: Extensive management in profit and/or not-for-profit roles
Additional eligibility qualifications: Computer experience with MIP and Slack; membership in an Accounting organization
Salary: $99,000
