The heart of the Cabinet experience, Retreat will convene NYL Cabinet members and Cabinet Federation professionals for leadership development and training. A dynamic faculty will lead the Retreat experience through the prism of ‘applied learning,’ with an emphasis on the practical application of theory, concepts, and knowledge that will prepare those aspiring to top positions of lay leadership in the Jewish community. Members will return home invigorated and empowered, ready to use their knowledge to support their local Federation community.

The incoming Cabinet class will start their Cabinet experience with an orientation on Tuesday, July 23. Led by seasoned Cabinet members and a vibrant faculty, the orientation will include a Federation overview and an introduction to the Cabinet curriculum and programs. During orientation, new members will get to know their classmates and will be prepared to embark on their Cabinet journey.
