In this session we will explore the challenges and psychological needs of the elderly and their families during COVID-19. We will review principles of online/phone-call based emotional support including identification of stress reaction and emotional first aid. Participants will receive practical tools for coping and resources for supporting the senior population during COVID-19. The session will be led by Dalia Sivan, Israel Trauma Coalition expert from AMCHA (the largest provider of mental health and social support services for Holocaust survivors in Israel and their families). Dalia is a clinical social worker and psychotherapist with experience in individual, family and group therapy, and in the field of trauma and bereavement.
