National Federation/Agency Alliance

Through the National Federation/Agency Alliance, our Federation system supports Jewish organizations across North America that play vital roles in maintaining community centers, children’s agencies and programs serving persons with disabilities in our hometowns; developing young leaders on campus and engaging the next generation; and helping those in need – from Jews in the former Soviet Union to the endangered and impoverished around the world.

The Alliance is a coalition of 28 Federations that provide funding and guidance to nine national Jewish agencies, which were chosen based on their effectiveness, impact in advancing the Alliance's strategic directions and relevance to the mission of the Jewish Federations.

ALLIANCE IMPACT

The vital Jewish agencies supported by this initiative are: ∙ American Jewish World Service ∙ The Association of Jewish Family and Children’s Agencies ∙ BBYO ∙ The Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society (HIAS) ∙ Hillel International ∙ The Jewish Community Centers Association of North America ∙ The Jewish Council for Public Affairs ∙ JTA, the Global News Service of the Jewish People (JTA/70 Faces Media) ∙ NCSEJ: National Coalition Supporting Eurasian Jewry.

Federations contribute more than $4 million to the Alliance, with most provided as general operating support for these agencies. Funding contributed through the Alliance has also been used to establish a new Jewish Education and Engagement unit at JFNA.
